The first day of Summer is finally here!
The first day of Summer perfectly falls on a Friday this year. Our first day of Summer was filled with lounging around, canon balls in the pool and of course, yummy barbecue. Luckily for my family, they got away without a single snap shot today.
In the spirit of Summer's first day, here is my latest beach adventure with my awesome son, Ty.
These were captured just one week ago at Point Pelee National Park in Leamington, Ontario. The park's tip is Canada's most southerly point of mainland Canada. Although, we did not swim at the point due to water roughness and undertows, we managed to make a splash at another beach location within the park.
Lately, I am finding myself with a darker style in editing especially for outdoor shots. I am actually quite pleased with the style I create by underexposing my images, giving it more depth, drama and a slight mystical feel.
Finding refuge in this historic and rustic cottage. Loving the weathered wood!

New City. New Studio. Fresh Start.
That about sums it all up in a nutshell! Pack it in. Pack it out. Relocation can be the pits and it sure wasn't short of disastrous for me lol. Yet, in the midst of all the chaos that comes along with a family's move was an opportunistic window that shed some light into my photography. You can say, that in a photographer's sense, I feel reborn.
So here's to a new city, a new studio and fresh start!

Getting to know my new area. Image above was captured at the marsh in Point Peelee National Park just before the rainfall. An amazing place for bird watching and butterflies.
